People are really getting stupid with all these "liberties". Making narcotics legal is stupid. Oh, but who cares about bunch of stupid people who uses them anyway... Certainly not me.

If Alcohol is legal, then so too should Marijuana. Taxing it is a more effective regulation then attempting to out law it.
Marijuana is something that shouldn't be mixed up with the drugs that just need to be banned for the sake of protecting people (cocaine, meth, ecstasy, heroine, etc).

Definitely.. the effects of that drink in your hand, Stump, can be a lot worse than the effect of marijuana...
Ya know what draws the line... responsible use.

Hell; it's about time...
I don't understand why starting around 1930's and ending in 2000's everyone has been out to demonize pot; hell back in the day everything was made out of hemp, and then you could even smoke the leaves, so you got yourself bags, paper and ropes from hemp plants. The one problem you should watch out for is over doing it.
Substance abuse; whether it be pot, or alcohol is a bad thing, I am sure I don't have to describe why drinking too much booze all the time will fuck you up; and your liver. It's the exact same thing with pot; don't smoke it 24/7 and you should be able to get away with lighting it up once in a while without turning yourself into a mumbling retard.

legalized drugs and mexico
Some of the terrible problems happening in Mexico and the US/Mexican border are a result of the illegal drug trade. the Mexican government is basically powerless to fight the Mexican drug gangs. These gangs are getting so rich from the sale of illegal drugs (mostly cocaine and pot) in the US. So legalizing drugs is a splendid way to help American companies take advantage and make profit from this growth industry, deprive the mexican gangs of their primary source of income, and its also fun

Being a Californian, if it passes i'll be sure to report the effect in my local area.
I think one of the limitations proposed is that you can't drive while you're high, since it seems like everyone and their mother smokes it in my area won't cops just pull everyone over will-nilly and have a 90% chance of arresting someone for abusing that limitation? Or is everyone simply not going to drive? Limit smoking it to days where they don't have to go anywhere? Will we see the streets full of high people if they can't drive but have to get somewhere? Will we see a spike in pedestrian injuries / casualties?
Just some of the negative things that shot through my head, postives aside, but like i said i'll report what goes on. I'm rather interested to see the effects.
I would also want to see all the dealer RAGE since everyone could just buy it / grow it legally. lol.

It'll work the same way that Alcohol does. People will eventually get over the fact that it's legal and limit themselves to stay out of trouble. At least some will, just like in the case of Alcohol.
