The quality is crap right now so whether or not it's due to population (which typically tends to even out within a couple of days) or whether it's due to widespread programming flaws(which could require an entire overhaul lasting god knows how long) is sort of a big deal which I'd like to have an answer to long before this free month is up.

Not saying things are perfect by any means, but you can continue to make guesses as to why with these guesses having no effect on anything. Or, you can wait and see what the results are. You have a month, your arguement would be a lot more valid 2 or 3 weeks into the month than they are 2 days.
