haha maybe

Whats interesting is there saying beta will only see 20% of the game.. Theres still tons of features you wont see till release day.

Like half of the jobs wont be unlocked till release, and only one of the three kingdoms we can go to in beta.. the other two kingdoms no one will see to release day. No chocobos till release, Uhh ya beta we just get one city and one zone pretty much.

They want us to test systems not content, so all the content will be a surprise on release.

Well, it'll be kinda hard to balance things if they can't test it... unless they have a large group of in house dedicated testers for that.

Ya they said they have paid in house testers for all content.

They just want beta people to test the combat system, grouping, a very very small portion of the story, guildleves, the linkshells/company system, the skill/job system etc..

But ya like half the Jobs like musketeer, bard, samurai, and quite a few others no one will see till release day.

Im pretty sure no beta player will pick Limsa Lorasa as there kingdom at release
Thats the sea side one we test around.

No one has seen any thing at all about the other kingdoms yet though and prob wont till release day.

I am prob going to choose Ul'dah its spose to have arenas and gambling halls and such.. its on a oasis in the middle of a desert.
The other one is Gridania which is in a forest.

Hey Bartillo, how have you been?

I was originally psyched for this game, but the current state of combat that I keep reading articles on leaves me to believe that it is a bore fest. I really want to have reason to play this game, I loved FFXI despite it being EQ1 on steroids... And they seemed to take a more open sandboxy to a degree approach to this game to flesh it out as a standalone game when compared to its predecessor.

In your opinion, how is the combat holding up?
