Default Age of Chivalry Server

Alright, we have multiple AoChiv servers, I'll try to keep the list up to date..

None of the servers are dedicated 24/7, but they are there so people know whom to ask if we need one for our own usage.

Yay!

Woot I am so excited! Now we just need to make a mod that actually uses coll detection instead of guns that shoot at each other!

And I get good ping!

Good job!

There was some light discussion on the possibility of a mod, with all of the code-monkies we have floating around here, lol....

And as noted at the end of the post I've done some 'light' modding if you want to even call it that to adjust gameplay.

You lost the server. AAAHHH!!!

Btw. seems like I was right with playing AoC is good for training for MO. Henrik said the combat is a bit similar or at least maybe just because of the FPV and for the first time he was pretty good yesterday. So maybe his Mortal training helped him or he was just lying about it being his first time. :P

Henrik said this about AoC:

Quote:
<HenrikNystrom> Ive plaid 2 matches now, and got 1st place about 90% of the rounds, I thought the guys in here was pros? hehe
[19:05] <Shinzon> I bet it wasnt... You snuck out and got practice beforehand XD
[19:05] <HenrikNystrom> hehe no actually my first 2 sessions
[19:05] <Shinzon> Next time you get some free time... I'll be sure to lob yer hed off
[19:05] <HenrikNystrom> but I have to say, MO is not far from it, and ive plaid alot mo
[19:05] <HenrikNystrom> MO is just more advanced
[19:05] <Shinzon> With the timing, and the "Charge Up" ?
[19:06] <Shinzon> I like the degrading stamina, it's graveley needed in AoC
[19:06] <Shinzon> Though one thing: AoC uses tracers to approximate a swing, so it's a fan of tracers, and it gets stupid when an enemy gets inbetween them. Does mo uses tracers or hit boxes to track the weapon?
[19:07] <HenrikNystrom> well in mo you click and hold or are able to if you want
[19:07] <HenrikNystrom> but yes similar to the timings in a way
[19:08] <HenrikNystrom> but there is diff stances to count in as well
[19:08] <HenrikNystrom> we have smart traces, I would say much more realible than the ones in aoc now
[19:08] <Shinzon> snart traces?
[19:08] <Shinzon> smart*
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> yes
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> I would not say there are smart traces in aoc
[19:09] <Shinzon> What makes a trace smart?
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> we worked on that for a year or even more
[19:09] <Shinzon> oh woa...
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> oh hehe, well you could do traces in a million diff ways
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> we tried about 1000
[19:09] <HenrikNystrom> and just got to a very good solution
[19:10] <Shinzon> nah, in AoC; they are just spawned at regular intervals. So if you swing, and move your mouse with the direction of spawning; if you look at the resulting tracers, there are holes in them as wide as a barn.
[19:10] <HenrikNystrom> when it looks like you hit someone you offten do so in MO, even with lag, in aoc I noticed a huge delay and holes in the trace
[19:10] <Shinzon> Yeah
[19:10] <HenrikNystrom> but it looks like the traces are like a thin shot of traces at a milli second
[19:11] <HenrikNystrom> making you miss if you turn around when to shoot the traces
[19:11] <HenrikNystrom> and makign it not realible
So if you can master AoC; essentialy you get a head start in MO.

I think that AI has a good headstart in MO considering we are the only MO guild that actively plays AoChiv. We've made each other better through the time we've practiced, so lets hope it brings us an early edge in-game.

I have the server back.

You should see it listed with Aegis Imperium... if not the original server information (first post) still applies. I figured if we're going to get more people playing, I'd leave the voice chat on this time though.

I'll look around for addons tomorrow I think. Things like the stat tracking and whatnot that we've seen on other servers.

we should get henrik to try out PVK2 and see if he says that's even more similar to MO's combat. it has directional attacks and i believe you can "charge" them as well iirc. i know most of us like AoC more for some reason, but PVK2 is still pretty fun and the combat is more advanced, so if we're going to be practicing for MO, i'd say it would be good to practice PVK2 as well.

More downloading, yay! Though I spose it won't require the extensive download as it is for AoC dedicated server.

I still have PVK2 installed, but never actually played it.
