Alright, I finally managed to set up my home computer to work as dedicated AI euro server

The IP is 84.250.37.157
The server is called Aegis Imperium, so it should be easy to find
password: airox

I'll try to keep it running most of the time.

I also added some modifications, which I feel would better reflect Mortal Online such as 2x health, about 50% faster sprint speed. I also slightly added knight's resistance vs. projectiles, also to better reflect their heavy armor status. Other things can be added as well. The latency should be pretty good - at least for european players, but we'll see how it is with others as well...

Haven't had a chance to try it my self, so I can't be certain, but only knights take less fro projectiles? That seems broken, in terms of balance. A crossbow bolt and a spear(if spearman is almost full and footies isn't full on Stamina) will one hit a footie. I suppose that is some what null with 2x health, but if Knights have more health, more protection from range, and the same increse to speed, that seems to really favor them over footies.

It also might undermind the point of cross bows. They are meant to absolutly kill Footies and highly damage Knights in one shot, to make up for thier 4 or 5 second reload where the person has to remain still. I would also think arrows would be pointless, as it would take 6-10 arrows to kill a kight without the added range defense on 2x health. Did you adjust thier damage? And what of Throwing weapons, like daggers and axes? Do they apply to that?

Sure thing, I see where youre going at. I'm just experimenting here, but you can always try it (if your lag can take it). I suppose I'll be doing some tweaking, but personally I find it more interesting that archers can't insta-kill anyone, and since the heavy armor is slowest anyway, I felt it needed a tad more protection, that it offered. Melee felt right though, so tried adjusting only the projectile damage.

Don't worry, if people hate it, I'll take it away =) I just find things a tad more interesting this way.

The thing with speed though is that Knights really aren't that much slower. I mean, I have had Knights chase me from thier castle to ours on capture the flag, and they are maybe at most 2 or 3 seconds behind me after that whole length from drain to drain. You don't often have to run that far in the game, so it isn't a huge difference. They are actually more powerful in meele, both with health and damage, so that should be more than a fair trade.

I could agree with slowing the knight down a little more, however if that were to happen you would HAVE to "nerf" the footman with Halbred. If you didn't a knight would never stand a chance.

Just a quick question: For AoC, you need Steam and HL2 to play AoC, correct?

You need steam and Source SDK. And you get source SDK with any source game. If you don't have any games yet HL2: DM is cheapest with source SDK.
