Likely so that people don't cry about how bad the connection is. Consider how much people bitch and moan in MO about latency.

Wait they didn't include the typical "Pick your Region" screen before your Bnet login? Thats odd. They've had that since WC2 Online stuff.

How would you all rate the game? Is it worth buying because I have been putting it off. I think its crap to have to spend $60 on 1/3 of a game so I can buy the other two parts in under a year and then have to shell out for D3. Blizz makes good games but cmon...

So yeah... Worth it?

I'm not a big campaign guy so I don't really care that they didn't include more campaigns. I'm sure that I'll play them at some point, but I'm in it for the multiplayer.

Worth it for the multiplayer.

The mp is pretty much the same as it was in SC. Except I feel its not as polished. Pretty much added new units and slapped a new skin on everything. Campaign was enjoyable at times, but since I already knew mp sucked I downloaded it.

What a surprise it's just a graphically updated clone. :P I would have never expected that. *rolls eyes*
Same will happen with Diablo 3 anyway.

I guess the idea was to make a graphically updated clone. They wanted to stay true to the original. Why reinvent the wheel?

If you think it's a graphically updated clone you either didn't play much of sc1, haven't played much of sc2, or both.

Sure, it's still an rts and the races are the same. But, the feel and gameplay of zerg in particular is very very different. (can't say a whole lot as to the others as I play zerg primarily, but playing against them is much different). The pace is faster, and thank god we don't have the infestation of rediculous big game hunters maps.

EDIT: Shin! I want a rematch now by the way.
