meh... dirty Americans playing on dirty American servers. Can't wait for the day when pings are no longer an issue in online gaming.
Still waiting for my key... should be here tomorrow. Game only cost me $20, bought the Russian version, which has a huge discount, but I can install the English version with the same key, so it doesn't matter. Yay for saving money!

You're, of course, welcome to try to join us on our bloody Yank servers, but yeah, I'm guessing the ping will be horrible for you.
Launch night started out very rough and the connection issues were terribly frustrating, but near the end of the evening some of the problems seemed to clear up. Server congestion had to have been at least partially to blame.
Overall, though, I was just pleased that a few of us successfully met up on mumble, were able to sort out our in-game friends list, and even had a 3-man squad going intermittently throughout the evening.
Now that communication is taken care of, it's time to shift our efforts towards teamwork. (Or should I say squad...um....squadmanship???). |

Steam doesn't come up with any results for "SRPattison". Is that your login or your alias?
Anyways, I tried to add you in-game so we'll see how that goes.
Until the mumble server has a channel that we can use, we've reverted to just using in-game voice and are also considering just using the Steam chat's voip.

Until EA fixes the absolutely horrid connection/kick/pb issues, I'm extremely frustrated every time I load up the game...
I did get to kill Pattison a few times last night though, yay!

The whole disconnect/pb seems to certain servers which does suck. The only thing I can recommend is finding a server that works and adding it to your favorite list for now until they work out the bugs.

There seems to be some small truth to the rumor that downloading the pbsetup.exe, adding BF: BC 2 to its game list, and then updating solves some of the punkbuster issues. Granted, EA says the first step is to uninstall the game 
PBSetup can be downloaded here.
Also, Rathius and SRPattison, if either of you are even vaguely interested in joining TKO, please feel free to do so! We currently have too few members to fill a squad with any measure of regularity which is unfortunate because I'd really love to experience the Squad Rush and Squad Deathmatch modes with friends.

I have my PBSetup ran and updated. Even that screws up on systems, because if you run a check it tells you that the firewall isn't allowing access to the pnkbstrA.exe and B.exe. This is because on my machine, and my friends, (with win7 64) it adds exceptions for them... except in the wrong folders. PBSetup checks in the System32 folder, the expceptions are in the WOW64 folder.
I had to go into the admin tools, and the advanced windows firewall controls in order to manually add them because just shutting off the firewall caused more issues. After manually adding this stuff I got a lot less issues and no more PB issues, ever.
The only thing left is for EA to fix the connectivity issues. I think I have found one server that hasnt eventually went down on me, and that was before I thought of bookmarking it.
@Bronsig not really up for joining something I'm not really going to be a 'part' of.... so I'll just put you in my friends list and go from there. (need that info btw or just add me)
