I'll probably give the game a whirl for old time's sake, so if anyone wants to join me... Still got some fans in my GW guild as well, so it should be fun!

I might give it a short try, since I thought about it at one point, but couldn't afford a monthly subscription for a game. Even when I don't like a game, it makes me kinda sad to a MMO die. I'm a story gamer, so seeing a game I never played end is like seeing a book I meant to read being burned.

I also read about the end for Tabula Rasa. Its really sad also i wasn't a fan of TR. Was a game with not bad reviews and you can say one of the big fund developments. I was in beta, it was something more fresh than other MMORPG's, fast gameplay, but for my taste not really fitting to the presented topic scifi with manymanyguns, much shooting without the ability for the player to shoot (to much automechanisms), also curiously no vehicles and spaceships.
So it was a FantasyMMORPG with different outfit without mounts.

But also i read in January you can play for free about 6 weeks TR, only download the client. Thats surely something more interesting for folks dont want spend money for a dead end.

So @Kaoy there are really some weeks left for free plaing TR. Sure next year, anyway only in few weeks

I know Vieth, I meant I might see what it is like during the free period. Some time back, when it came out, I thought of trying it, but could not afford a Monthly fee.

It used to be fast-paced action packed fun, but the bugs in those parts of the game that should help out in socializing got on my nerves so much that I quit 6 months into the game. These bugs is what I'm talking about ^^

It really didn't have a PVP system did it? I was planning on trying it on the start as well, but my computer wasn't up to date for the trial. It's sad to see another franchise go down the tube, but I think Richard Garriot was too busy in real life space voyaging to care for the game.

According to his resignation post, he had high hopes for the game when he started it. The issue was they had a few novice programers who were thrown into the pit from day one along with the Vets and were expected to keep up with them by the publishers. The end result was Bugstock '07. Gathered from what I heard from people, little bugs would occationally cascade into larger bugs, which were more severe and higher priority, and they could never really keep up.

The saddest bit about this though is they were preparing to launch the 'Back to Earth' Expansion(or I think thats what it was called).

It's funny how failing MMO Veterans always blame the "newbie" programmers.
And even if they did employ programmers that had no real experience or clue, it's still their fault for employing them not the fault of those they employed.

The problem was the publishers pushing the dead line up again and again. They thought they had time to get them trained, I guess, but they didn't recive all the time they expected.
