Evony

I'm pretty sure most of you have played or at least heard of Evony at some point, probably through the provocative advertisements they used, but Argencia, myself, and a few others decided to start up our own towns and push for world conquest.

For those who haven't the slightest idea about what Evony is, it's basically an MMORTS. You start out controlling a village, then a city, then a few cities, etc. Eventually you can start wrecking other people's towns or conquer barbarian strongholds. The game lacks customization, but of course that's not the point. We started an Alliance (simply Aegis, apparently there's an 8 letter limit). If you're interested, send a letter to myself or Argencia. We're on sever 38, based in Lower Lorraine.

EDIT: When you access the Evony site for the first time, it takes you to some sort of promotional "Play now!" screen. Either hit the skip it button on the bottom, or alternatively create your account and then promptly log out, and access the site again. The reason for this is that this promotional site does not allow you to select your server, which is kind of necessary for playing on server 38.

Ok, I started awhile back when everyone in IRC was discussing it. I noticed the City Teleporter teleports to "another place randomly". Is there another way to move my city to your location? I'd really dislike starting over.

And now I've restarted to my stone-wall village of mass production on resources, to something resembling the Khurite village from the beta videos.

It starts out very slow and dull, but eventually people start attacking you, after your 7 days protection is up, which is when things become a bit more exciting. In a way, I suppose it's an empire building scenario, so it may just be a decent way of practicing. I see Wessex plays, and they somehow consolidated their cities into a single small area, which I am supposing they did by organized conquest.

Being that my city is in the center of the Wessex heart by complete luck(?!), I hope you are not correct in this assumption.
