Default Fallout 3

I have to say all though I have played Wow, Daoc, Wokf, Oblivion, and Fable 2. Nothing seems to compete with the joy I get from Fallout 3. (( I also played Fallout 2 and Diablo 2) they were amazing) I just cant find any other game that has created the same kind of post apoctoliptic joy that the fallout series has.

I was just wondering if anyone else here plays fallout 3 or if they have tried the new expansion. I have to say the game is amazing, and even though it isn't quite an MMO it is of the sandbox genre and that somewhat relates to MO. So to anyone out there who plays give me a heads up. I also play Halo 3, Two Worlds, and Call of Duty.

I've played it through twice already on the different spectrums. I also played the bonus stuff. I loved how Bethesda did the terrain too.

Basically what they did was build a scale model of DC from pictures in the 1950s or so and then they blew it up and shifted rubble around. Worked out great I think. I wish there was more terrain actually and a couple more super-mutants though.

Played through it on 360, own it for PC. I think I should have stuck with 360, I wanna cheat too much on PC, its too easy.

Fallout 3 is a beautiful game. I mean, the VATS system is amazingly well done. You'd think that after seeing a bullet fly in slomo 50 times it'd get boring, but it DOESN'T. I still get so much joy when I see the bullet fly gracefully like an angel of death about to bury a 10 foot mutant. And pop goes the head.

Same thing here. I played it on Xbox first and then got it on PC so I could use "Mods" which was a pretty excuse to waste money and cheat more lol

I played the game on PC and was immediately blown away. The voice acting, open world exploration and combat system was very enjoyable right to the very end. The only hiccups I found however was the lack of variety in weapons, but the special Easter eggs and downloadable mods took care of that.

Glad to see this thread get some attention. Did any of you play the expansions? I think that they kept the game rolling. I would have liked to havce seen that concept on Fable but they never went that route past the first one. Also.. i didn't really like the VATS system. I thought it had a much less likely chance of landing a hit then actually aiming. Just a thought. Although there were some pretty fun Kill shots that came from it. Oh and did anyone get the mysterious stranger perk. Always wondered about that one.

I disliked the VATS system for the same reasons..I am used to FPS though so I would rather free aim unless sniping. The expansions were good and the Fable 2 expansions sucked (Not sure if you played em..If not dont waste your time)

Mysterious Stranger was alright. I only saw him like three times the whole time I played.
